Sata 500gig won't mount

Hi all I've recently been getting a 800HD which my good friend help set up which works fine. I've now put a hard drive in but to mount it you press "menu, set up, system, device manager, storage devices" which brings up the hard drive which says "no mount point defined" so press green to initialize. Then it asks enable partition auto mount, select yes green to save...
But then "there was an error while configuring your storage device"... Am I missing something?????

Maybe try another hd or format hd with pc then try again.

Tried to go through tspanel but don't know whether to format it with nfts, fat32 or ext3...which 1???

Fat32 is the normal way go mate
