    Telnet removal

    Having a bit of trouble removing a file through telnet command guys??

    I have install dreamplex but now want to remove it due to a little error, its not in my plugin menu so I have to do through the ftp.

    I have logged in as per usual with this command:
    root@dm800se:~#

    I now type in ipkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-dreamplex_2.1.2_all.ipk

    and it now shows this error?
    -sh: ipkg: not found

    I also tried the opkg remove as well and get this message back "opkg: unknown sub-command uninstall"

    Any ideas guys??

    Try this just incase your box has updated dreamplex or plugin name isn't correct.
    Connect telnet to your box and type;
    ipkg list_installed

    once you get the correct name for your dreamplex plugin type;
    ipkg remove <exact plugin name>

        Toe, when you enter the 'ipkg list_installed' into telnet do you see 'enigma2-plugin-extensions-dreamplex_2.1.2_all' in the list of installed extensions?

          No

          First off I enter telnet then my ip address then type root for my log in after that I now enter ipkg list_installed then it comes back with this message?

          sh: ipkg: not found

          It seems to have a problem with ipkg?

          Hope im entering the right content beforehand tho??

              Defo sounds like your box has a problem with telnet the only other thing I can advise is try a 3rd party telnet program like putty and see if that makes a difference.

              Code:
              http://www.putty.org

                Hi martin!

                Don't suppose you have a recent zgemma backup for the s2 by any chance? I know if the if the backup is relatively old the update mentions that its possible the box wont boot after it?

                Cheers!!

                  As Many members know, I updated to a H series Zgemma a while back, but DK member 'madness85' has an original Zgemma S and has developed his image for use by others on the forum, this image will work on a Zgemma S or 2S Openatv5.3 Backup Image with New improved SkyQ Skin, OTA update safe * AutoBuoquetsMaker autoupdate daily

                  Post #1 backup dated 11/2

                      From the openvix forum (you'll have to google search as direct linking isn't allowed)
                      Into their download section and picons and you want Ocram SNP, as these have a smaller file size, unless you want the posh looking MK picons which have a large file size

                      I use the TAR files and FTP the files direct to the Zgemma ie 'Dirtysnp 220x132 transparent Black TAR' by doing this;

                      Once download just use 7z to untar the file and get access to the 'DirtySNP' folder and use your fav FTP to transfer the picons to /usr/share/enigma2/picon

                      Remember to weed out all unneeded picons from the 'DirtySNP folder' first as you won't need all the cable and outdated picons, this will save space and speed up the box.

                      I've never tried the Enigma2 plugins that are available from their download section due to the fact I didn't want all the picons install (a waste of time and space on the zgemma) but you try that way if easier.
