I'm fairly new to this but doing my research.
Basically at home I have Octo LNB which connects to.
Sky HD box
Sky + box
Sky Box (running fta)
Due to job requirements I am going to have to live in a different city for a few months.
I basically want to stream (and possibly record) my paid for subscriptions to my laptop in rented accommodation, without interference with boxes above.
So im thinking of getting a dreambox 500s or clone and attaching it to LAN using wired connection.
I should then be able to stream content to my laptop?
Does any recording function have to be done via pc on the lan rather than via stream (i.e. laptop)?
