As Nagravison's 3rd version of their security system is now being used by Virgin Media and other Cable TV providers dark days lay ahead for those Cable Pirates.
As you may have read the only way forward is official Subscription or Satellite TV.
Many people may have mentioned the phase "Sky UK for free". Well this is not possible. Sky UK use the NDS encryption system which is very secure and has upto now never been breached publicly.
( Rupert Murdoch will buy the hack of the first person to hack Sky for ?1,000,000 [thats how confident he is of its security])

You may read about Cardsharing, this is a task not so easy. It takes alot of time and commitment. Also people offer these services for a price but they will disappoint.

Satellite TV is more about foriegn providers, not so much Sky UK. It is a very big learning curve so please ensure you know fully what you are spending your money on before purchasing anything.

Most pay servers are unreliable. Ask for a free trial link and see how you go.

even though sky not open if you set your sat up with a motor dish keys apear quict offeten to open packages up some times for hrs other times for months at the moment thor west 1 dig1 package has been open for months and so has another package on east 5 so tyou might lose your free cable but theere is still open tv out there also there are forums out there that if you have a card you can share it wiith other and they share theres with you
or there are people offing c/si have see form 130 250 pounds a year for the same packages so beware they dont take your money for a years subs and then do a runner with it

I came across a Chinese site offering all cs packages for approx ?25 pa (cant remember who they were) I have not purchased any sat equipment yet so still looking into the options, not interested in foreign language channels only really want to get sly

I was thinking of getting a dreambox 500c/clone if it would last a year or more I'd go that route as it's quick & free plus I already have a active VM BB connection in the house.

A few people have advised me to go the satelite route instead but being new to this judging by your post, you're saying it's impossible to pick up sky sports, sky movies, comedy & kids channels for free in the uk ?
(sports isn't important but the rest are)

If so why make the switch to satelite if I have to substitute everything for foreign crap ? Or have I been misguided and looking in the wrong places.

I saw the easy guide for 500c and unlocking all channels but I've not come across one for the 500s

Is it possible to have satelite and cable in 1 box or would I need a 500s+500c ?

Sorry if I sound rude or like I'm ranting I'm just confused as the 500c offers what I want even if it may be for a limited time and the 500s is the long term solution but with **** all to watch from the uk.

you know your gonna lose cable so its pay them big bucks if you want it, the days of peeps getting all and taking for granted are well and truly over, now if you want sky you can pay them big bucks or go sat route but everyone is gonna have to pay some way
