DreamboxEdit cant coonect

Hi, Successfully flashed image onto dreambox,trying to view sateliite.xl throug dreamboxedit but when i try to receive files from dreambox it says that it cant connect, i have the null modem cable connected.Any ideas?

You need to go to options and enter your Dreambox IP address.

I have done this and tested the ip connection and it doesnt work.

make sure you enter root and dreambox in the password and user boxes?

Ye this is done also,im using a laptop and have no com port,got a usb adaptor to connect my null modem cable to the dreambox to flash with dreamup and it worked,but cant get it connected with dreamboxedit

Have you got the thernet plugged in your box and is your lappy on the internet?
