dreambox satellite leeds??

Hi all,

I am on cable dreambox but since last week all channels are no longer working.

Anyone in leeds using dreambox satellite, is your box working with all the channels such a sky sports etc??
As I think I would need to change to maybe sky tv and buy a dreambox sat and do the set up like i did with dreambox cable.

satellite is not open like cable.. you need to be able to do and understand a lot more than just flashing your box..

do some reading of the forum, there are tons of similar threads..

satellite dreambox involves:

networking your box
FTP from your PC to your box
Making your ISP IP Address static witha DynDNS account
Inputing linux code into the config files

Also and maybe the biggest stumbling block is that you have to cardsahre..

yea, sat side of things is not kids play like cable. But once sorted you will never think about cable again as there is a lot more to watch across europe

The way to look is Cable was just free TV, Satellite a hobby with great great benifits.
