yes its possible to get caught.. if you go around telling everybody or you use it in a public forum.. like a pub or social club..
if you modify it wrong all you will do is at worst knacker the box

wow, okay so, i hav experince with dbox2, but none at all with the dreambox, espeacially the sat!!
So if i want HD chammels + all s*y movies etc, etc, how do i go about gettin all the channels on a dreambox sat? is there any newbie tuts any one knows of??
Also is it similar to setting up dbox2, like do u get all the possible channels on a dreambox sat, the same or simialr way you would for a dbox2?
I did find a newbie guide on this forum but it wudnt let me download it..

sky uk is not and has never been open.. if you are after sky with a dreambox then all you will get is the free channels..
dreamboxes are best used to open european tv but it is a lot more complex than transferring a few files..Comment
