Sky white crad update mgcamd?

hey guys,

i have heard that the best method to update sky uk white card is using mgcamd. Could anybody guide me thrue the correct setup for such please?

Im not exatcly sure if any specific setup is required?

search White Sky Card.. all the info you need is there..

CCcam & NewCS works best..

you need to work out the boxkey etc.. its pretty complex mate.. are you ok editing linux code

Nope mate u didnt get my question. My setup is all working and running bro. What im saying is to update emm on card in otehr words update ur sky u kcard newcs cccam 2.1.3 takes about 10 hours whereas mgcamd takes 30 minutes if setup. Im not sure how mgcamd is set up for this purpose any idea?

Hi you don,t need mgcamd to update your card anymore cccam 2.1.3 does it all mate

Yep mate but ccam 2.1.3 takes about 10 hours whereas mgcamd takes 30 minutes? Also if using the combination of newcs to cccam 2.1.3 update dont work until ccam runs on its own so im better off updating via mgcamd whichll only take 30 minutes

you need to use it with Newcs..

install newcs+mgcamd using addons button
start newcs and mgcamd using telnet and see if mgcamd is really connected on newcs and see the card
Also, you can check if mgcamd user has au option in newcs
If all of these are ok you should be able to activate the card, but the process may take a few hours..

however Sky UK with NewCS/Mgcamd.. i dont know anyone who has.. they all opted for NewCS & CCcam in the end

start using telnet? how does that work mate?

do you know how to use telnet facility to talk to your box.. or connect to your box your normal way..

i can do telnet but am not sure how the communication via telnet works all i really wanna do is setup mgcamd so whenever i need to update card i can switch to mgcamd let it run for 30 min then back to newcs and cccam:S

1.you need install mgcamd 1.31 and mgcamd config on your dreambox
2. rename newcamd.list.example to newcamd.list
3. in newcamd list you need change line
CWS = yournewcsserverip your newcs port dummy1 dummy1
01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan newcs
3. Add new user with webinterface to your newcs server or just
paste it to xml

<spider>off</spider><sidoverride>off</sidoverride><rate>0</rate><status>access</status></user>
4. Make sure ur xml have au enabled
<blocksa>No</blocksa>
<blockua>No</blockua>
<blockga>No</blockga>
5. When your card entitlements need to be updated you
need switch default cam on your dreambox to mgcamd and to force updates you need set ur tv on channel what you don't have in your local card example Racing UK

Let it run all night and then check is there card entitlements up to date

Few other things im 2 lazy explain what is what in mgcamd_cfg and im using default as it is you don't need change any of the parameters there.
just make sure G: { 01 } and that's it

its not a 30 minute process like you think mate..

Hehe mate isaw this post its not very cealr tho and thast for activation it takes longer updating honestly takes 30 minutes only i got a mate who does it but hes not online to guide me thru i thought there might be others doing it
