cant understand why so difficult. done all that and on the dcc it says telnet not connected??!?!? i searched for ip and connected my dreambox to my pc, ip is found . conmes up with ftp disconnected

How are you connecting, wired or wireless ? Are you trying to connect to the box to ftp something or your router to connect to the internet ?

i used dreamup in the end as couldnt get dcc working. connected ethernet cable from my router not my modem and into back of dreambox,
