the remote sensors on the front panel can be weak. the front panel is flimsy. the tuners are poo, but all these can be fixed or you can live with
Wavefield Ds 55cm at 13E 19E and 28E receiving everything out there on 2 dm800hd

previous life dm800hd and 500c on cable screw you nag3

I find my remote sensor is very weak both on the DM500 and DM800 - both are clones, sometimes they are just really unresponsive, does anyone else find that?

I see. It's really annoying sometimes. You can really tell the difference when you use a $ky remote.

Yes but remember you pay sky ?50 a month LOL...

The remote sensor angles are the main thng, straight at the box they should be okay.

I use a Logitech Harmony ONE, a fantastic thing
But, I dont have the DB`s, DVD, Amps, etc close to the TV, so that could be some of the problem...

Is there a way around this problem on the clone 800?

On A dm500 there is no difference btwn copy and original.

On Dm800 both boxes have tuner problems.

                    Picture quality is the same

[I think] He means the slow response times for the remote

Orignal boxs also have tuner problems

As for the remotes, my personal one is fine, i can use it from at least 10M okay.

If you see it from the DM500`s side, the angle of "view" of IR signals, does not seem to be as wide as on 7000/7020...
So you have to be more "in center" of the box...

But, it is not a big problem, otherwise I have never had any major problems.
