For use gemini project image with a bomb in to dreambox clone please change imediately your mac . I post a pach for bootloader .

I have never tested but I would have thought that it would stay the same even after a reflash.

After change mac i erase flash with dreamup and i verify with a no bomb image (gp 4.2, nabilo , sif ) and mac is ok , mac is not changed after erase (original mac for dm ).Now i have gp 4.4 with mct and redlight AU (AU mct works only time bomb activated).Sorry for my english...

Ok, managed to find out how the attack started, they traced MAC address in boxes .... this includes eagle box / dvb /dm500 china/extremebox etc..... and the boxes have similar mac address all start with 00:12:25:xx:xx:xx this mac address is for motorola company and genuine Dreambox mac address is 00:09:34:xx:xx:xx owned by dreamultimedia, so with this information I will pass on you will be able to convert your mac address to original dreamultimedia mac address by doing the following information

Create init File with another mack ...using NOTEPAD, then copy this text inside notepad file

ifconfig eth0 down ; ifconfig eth0 hw ether 00:48:21:0A:33:26 ; ifconfig eth0 up

And save this file with name in .init ...then with program DCC 2.94 using ftp mode save this init file on dreambox var/etc folder
then login again to dreambox in telnet mode and click Format option, then write this:

ifconfig eth0 down ; ifconfig eth0 hw ether 00:09:34:xx:xx:xx ; ifconfig eth0 up

This xx xx xx you can put something else....... after doing this click enter.......... and then for testing on new mac address just type ifconfig........

To check if your mac address box is genuine just login to box via telnet and type cat /proc/bus/dreambox

This should tell you information about box....

If mac starts with 00:12:25 then box is fake dream
If mac starts with 00:09:34 then box is genuine dream

If eagle star mac with 00:12:25 it means is still genuine eagle box and ok but not recognised at genuine by dreambox..... in fact they are 2 diferent models not related but compatible with same images.

thanx mr zaf786 i did what u told me exactly and when ifconfig dream gave me 00:09:34
the original mac for dream but but when i see the system info on my tv dream give me not the oiginal mac 00:33:22:22:11 and i want to till u i make a jitag for my dm 500 befor jitag it the mac was 00:12:25 if u can help me to make it orginal mac plz help cause i want to download the 4.5 gp for my dm 500 thanks again for your help

Thanks for help with altering MAC address. I had no idea that I purchased a clone. It has all the right features and even the box and remote appear the same as original.

Apparantly, not tested by myself, but from some guys on cli this change mac address in bootloader stage which is only protected by kernel blocking the /mtd part from being overwritten, This potentially could change your mac permanatly and let you flash any image, but of course try at your own risk..
