Telnet logging into Dreambox

`Can`t find info on how to Telnet the Dreambox. Pinging via command prompt is sucsessful, but connecting DCC or FlashFXP fails. Is there some special way to log in? My owners manual only indicates to press the red remote button (while in TV/Radio mode) and that doesn`t work.
I`d be some kind of pleased if somone could offer any assistance.

on your pc
you need to turn telnet on so

Go to Control Panel
Programs
Programs And Features
Turn Windows features on or off
Check Telnet Client
press OK

Then

click Start
type in the search box> cmd
then type> telnet 192.168.1.** (what ever you DM ip address is)

Logon username> root
password> dreambox
