PC and Sat box in Same room?

I am guessing majority of users on this forum don't have a satellite box AND pc in the same room so I am not following these threads right? how is that over come when you need to connect the box to Internet and still view pictures on TV?

A long ethernet cable, or a short cable, and a router/bridge nearby.

Some people even use homeplugs!
