save to usb stick and not hrd drive?

Hi mate, its a 4 gb usb stick,when u say format it in the dm800 I'm not sure if iv done that, how do u do that, well I made a backup of my image on my usb stick and I think the dm formatted it for me to make the backup,maybe I'm wrong mate, so how do I format it and thanks for reply

I am using the Pli image on my dm800, press Menu > Setup > Harddisk > Format or it might be initialise.

jsut tried that mate and all seems ok then but till unable to save for some reason, is there a way to change my recording to usb as maybe its trying to save elsewere, im using gemini 4.70

Yah me too , i have the same problem , i initialized my USB the then tried to record but not succesfull and still the same problem , i am using Gemini 4.70 , and i tried 'Nabilosat Black Hole V0.12' but both didn't work .
if someone had this problem and resolved it plz help us.

if your usb stick is formated in the dm800
try this
press video twice
press menu
switch to file list and press ok
press ok on parent directory
scroll to list of storage devices press ok
should give you option
lower usb slot
usb stick
internal flash
at the bottom of screen should be green button to ok
new recording path
this should work

would that be same if i used an external hdd?
i have a usb stick, but the 4gb wouldnt last very long,
when your recording a hd channel!!!

hi, im trying to record to my dm800 with dreamelite bh1.3. ive mounted a usb stick but i cannot record. just keeps saying hdd not present. has anyone else had this problem.

im using dreamelite too mate and i cant get this to work when i press video it brings up recorded video but when i press again it doesnt do a thing
