help with ccam
Well finally got my box managed to flash it no probs pli jade image now i am trying to install a cam with DCC but am getting nowhere fast, basically just starting out on my sat journey i have a sky dish fixed one lnb and managed to pick up 19.2e and just want to see if i can get fta channels to clear i have all the channels and epg but no pic. any info appreciated cheers idiots guide would be helpful.

cant remember on pli... but try setup > expert setup > and look in the menus there. there should be a option to download from the server.

ps... did you move the dish to 19.2, if not you will most probably be on 28.2, and the fta channels should clear without ccam.Comment

blue>software management>downloads>softcams/cardservers. You don't need it for FTA channels though...Comment

not having pictures on the fta channels and not being able to set up a connection through Dcc to install a cam to be honest mate im still a bit green with regards to the sat scene having come from dbox 2 cable .Comment

to be honest so am i... i only moved over to one a few weeks ago....
my advice would be to flash another img... i tried a few and for now am using the digital kaos img v1.1, its very user friendly and ideal for a new user.
Digital Kaos - Downloads - Digital Kaos v1.1 Image for Dm500 C/S/T
by flashing this img you should be able to get all the fta channels no probs. if you still have a prob, you dish or lnb might be out of line.
give it a go and see what happens.Comment

ps you dont set up internet via dcc... on the kaos img its menu > set up > expert set up > communications set up this then brings up a screen where you enter all the info needed. most found on your routers set up page.Comment
