Help! Is it worth it for me!

This my 1st post other than intro. Please be gentle if I've done anythin wrong.

Right. I'm a Blackpool fan. I just have basic Freeview now. I'm thinkin bout gettin Sky with Sports so I can watch Blackpool games. But in reality not many B'pool games will be shown. So, my mate said that all games are recorded and shown somewhere in the world, I just need to recieve the signal with dish+Dreambox.

Ok so, I want to be able to:
Record TV (for the World Cup and for the Missus)
Watch as many Blackpool Games as I can, don't care if the commentary is in another language.
Extra English speaking channels would be great!

I have been reading for hours over two days but, I still don't know If its worth me getting a Dreambox.

Can someone please help me with this or point me to relevent website/post?

I don't have HDTV and probably wont be getting 1 till next year.

We can help with setting up but not card sharing no C/S talk aloud here..

You will need a dish and you need to decide how many satellite's you want to view etc

      Satellite?

I want to view the Satellites that will get me the games and if I accidentally get some more channels while I'm at it well, that's great. But I don't know how to find out which satellites I need; if I can use them legally?

Ok I'm gettin with it now. I think. It's a freesat decoder with bells & whistles. I can use it to get freesat. Some Sky pay-channels are available free from other countries such as Germany but it's trial and error and channels can change frequently (which is why nobody can answer 'what's available?')

To get anything else you basically need to do something naughty using keys/serials or cloned cards.

Two major benefits are the ability to: stream to and from other devices; and that it is highly modifiable with hardware and software for tech-wizz and enthusiasts.

If I'm wrong about anything here please let me know.

Thanks for the Forum. I'll investigate the other sections now.
