whats the best image for the dreambox . any advice appreciated

its a personal preference mate, mine fav is pli jade, others will say something else try a few and see what you prefer. if you got a clone just becareful if bomb been removed on gemini, make sure its non bomb else you clone will be no good, no more

Yuo dont mention what box you are using.. I have always loved Nabilosat on e1 and e2.

PLi is my favourite, though i use OpenPLi images instead of Jade3.

i believe you should first mention what type of dreambox you are using as there are different models out there.This will at least give us a chance of giving you better advice to suit your question. it also depends on what you watch and what features you want. i personally like gemini images for enigma1 boxes, if you get a clone , make sure you get an image meant for a clone with time bomb removed, otherwise it will render your box useless after a while. if you use an enigma 2 box like the 800 or 8000 my personal preference is the dream elite or nabilo images as these images have sky uk epg working and also all the subtitles working. so its up to you what you want from your box. and what suits you best. try them and find out.

Gemini images always run better than most, but its up to to you to customize the Image on how you like it to look and function, usually not the prettiest of images to look at but add-on Skins , picons and additional software make it the best supported image.

Gemini are payed by Dream to develop images so you are getting software tuned to your model of Dreambox and stability shows.

Other 3rd party software in most cases take the latest Gemini images apart and rebuild it into something else, Nabilosat are the best and are rated highly followed by PLI & Neminis but you can suffer with 3rd party images such as system or program crashing less supported applications & driver updates not to mention none completed image scripts causing picture / audio quality or indeed interface or network issues.

Stay with the best supported images and make sure you read down the page for any problem with the image before you download it, different versions bring with it different issues.
