clone or not

advice please could you tell me how to tell the difference between a clone and an original or which website would be the safest to buy an original.

it all depends on what one you want m8 all dreambox 500 are clones some 600 (but some still original) 500 hd you get clones and original same as 800 hd and 800 some are clones some not it just depends on what you want

about recognizing difference between clones and originals:
it depends what model you are looking for, 800hd the clone one has a different surface of a less quality (its not smooth) and ... which you can find by google.
about trusted shops for originals i guess the best way is to go to dreambox-multimedia-tv.de/en and check for retailers around you.

DM500s
Impossible to get NEW original now as they have stopped been manufactored

DM600S
The DM600S is very hard to tell which is original and clone as there are no clear differences (just make sure you buy from dream mulitmedia seller)

DM800HD
1) Tuner is differenent in Both
2) The casing as desribed before is matt not shiny
3) Notice what sim card is listed (if sim card is listed i.e Ferrari or 2.0.1) Clearly a clone
