updating sky card

hi im trying to update my sky card. ive left it in the sky box all last night and all today but did not update. i have less than 20 days till it runs out i also tried a forced update twice which didnt work. if i leave it in the sky box tonight can i check if its updated without having to put it back in my dreambox and looking in newcs/cccam info thanks

all im asking is if i can check when my entitlements run out without putting card in dreambox as far as im aware thats not breaking any rules

you need to put your card back into your receiver your cards paired too to update or turn on emm's in the cccam.cfg i only use my card is in my dreambox 8000 so only one box by the tv and no dvd no media player and can stream movies.


mods this has nothing to do with cardsharing only using s*y card in another reciever other than s*y box.

put you card in when couple of days left on your entitlement not 20

hi its ok its updated now. what i wanted to know was could i check its updated before i remove from the original box thanks

Well, you are leaving it a bit late now...

I don't think they send updates every night aswell.

Mine was about to run out a couple of days ago & i had mine in the official receiver almost every night for about 3 weeks & it only updated about 2 days before they were due to run out.
I have seen that it appears to update on the Friday night before the run out period but that's just my card.
& again, it did update last Friday night / Sat morning.

You probably should have had it in the original receiver about 2 weeks before, every night, & eventually you will get the update.

Let us know if you get them or not.

ok it update last night to 6.8.2011 but what is the month and day here,cuss i think it was 6.7.2011

That will be 6th August 2011.

Some of my card is now updated for August aswell.
