CrossEPG working with Gemini 5.1

Here are the instructions i followed:

Tried on Gemini 5.1. Not sure about other versions.
Download the latest CrossEPG "crossepg-enigma2_0.4.7-svn-56_mipsel.ipk".
Transfer with FTP to the /tmp directory.

Install the .ipk via a telnet session:
ipkg install /tmp/crossepg-enigma2_0.4.7-svn-56_mipsel.ipk

or - using the Gemini File Manager --> /tmp --> highlight the file and press the Green Button (Install) to install.
Reboot the box.

Initial Configuration (CrossEPG should appear under both setup and under extensions).

In the crossepg entry, in setup, have the satellite of your choice activated (if you have *** uk use teh 28.2 setting, not the 28.4). Keep the place to save on HDD (it does not work on USB). Everything else can first stay that way.

In Gemini Blue panel --> settings --> EPG:
Make sure the top EPG options are all off. In the bottom panel use:
File cache = on; change the filename = epg.dat; location = /media/hdd; Automatically save = off.
YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE CACHE FILE NAME TO EPG.DAT, otherwise it will not work.

Restart again.

Go to CrossEPG in the addons panel (press green button). Choose crossEPG, The box should change to a radio channel and the display will show what it is doing now. If everything is successful, crossepg should automatically switch back again to the last viewed channel and have inserted the EPG data for the new station.

I can confirm that crossepg 0.5.0 works also fine on gemini 5.1:

I manually installed enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-crossepg_0.5.0-svn-93-oe1.6_mipsel.ipk - crossepg - CrossEPG ENIGMA2 mipsel 0.5.1 svn 93 OE1.6 - Project Hosting on Google Code

added missing configuration crossepg.config and adapted for my needs.

updated crossepg_epgmove.sh with correct paths

updated the EPG config as explained above in the blue panel

Please note that the crossEPG configuration via the GUI is not working. An error message "No writable drive found..." will appear.

on the crossepg.config, you have to make sure the providers are separated by a pipe without any spaces, like this

I've got the latest crossepg on gemini 5.1. But i have to manually restart GUI, to load it or Manually load epg to system. Is there a way it could this automatically. I've looked everywhere with no luck!!

Hi still new to this can configure everything ok downloaded everything to hd crossepg in setup downloaded all updates etc (went from picture to radio then back as first post) restareted but no epg, path changed prior to epg.dat
Looked at the usr/crossepg/crossepg_epgmove.sh looked at the file and at the bottom echo epg.dat not found although i know its thert.
Do i have to map a path somewhere ie enigma2.sh as i looked at E2_Loadepg and you had to enter a new line here for it to work.

i have downloaded the latest version on crossepg e2 for dm800
enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-crossepg-oe1.6_0.6.0-svn-142_mipsel.ipk
followed the tuto above
but the latest version still the same settings?
can some write a quick set up guide from when its installed plaese... the menu setup crossepg this is differant?
i have it on /media/hdd followed the above tuto
i see crossepg folder /media/hdd/crossepg with 5 files crossepg.aiases crossepg.descript crossepg.headers crossepg.indexes ext.epg.dat
i also have in /media/hdd a file epg.dat
but when i press the epg it only shows the two listed programs
must add this is driving me mad
i installed the older version using this tuto on another box a few weeks ago for a friend and it worked fine
i have tried this as per instruction but still no joy
with a unix compatible editor edit the file /usr/bin/enigma2.sh and before the line
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libopen.so.0.0 /usr/bin/enigma2add this line
/usr/crossepg/crossepg_epgmove.sh
gemini 5.1
seems i am missing somthing??
