realign the dish

ok so i picking up most of the majar sats here in belfast with a 1m dish but im missing alot maybe half o so of channels or unwatchable to poor quality so i think il try and relign the dish.

as i didnt have any1 to watch the signal levels on the tv when i done it i just left the the volume right up on my ref sat 5w and tighten up when i heard it.

my questions are on the dream box theres SNR reading and AGC wat do they mean? and which is most important?

second wat levels should i try and get for 5w and the rest of the other sats ? to knw if im on the right road

what i done mate was check google for strongest transponders for each sat,for example whatever is the strongest transponder for 28.2e go to that channel.then fine move the dish until the strongest signal then save that position and do a scan on that sat,do this for each sat mate,what box are u using mate?

im on a dreambox i thought u wasnt meant to move the dish only on ur ref sat?

think Wannely must have his setup on diseq , were as you are referring to setup on usals (simple)

yeah mate had mine set up with usuals,but wasnt clearing alot of channels and sats etc,i read on this forum and relised i cud manually store the positions without using usuals,cheers

yeah ok nps mate so when i redo this wat level im i trying to peak on the dreambox? snr or agc? and wets that ber for?
