on a couple of occasions now the Cccam file in my dreambox has disapeared - anyone know why this would get deleted without anyone tampering with the settings?

yes thats where it normally is, but on a couple of occasions i've lost all subscription channels and when i've checked the var/etc folder the Cccam file has gone! Cant understand why this file would disapear without someone deleting it.

try changing your password on dreambox if it's the standard: dreambox .....

maybe someone have access to your box and don't like u or something... or maybe just wanna annoy u....

Have never experienced a CCcam.cfg fiel disappear by itself...

(how to change password: telnet to box, login as root user, write: passwd and press enter, and type your new password and confirm it... Done)

        Hope this might help..

did think that might be a possible cause, will change the password to see if it happens again.

If someone knows your ip addy i guess they could do it outside your house if they were messing and you had a decent router.
I can pick my N- Router up bout 300 yards away no trouble.
