why do i keep losing the epg,saved to usb ,working fine then dissapears,still there when i look at it on ftp

What image and have you made sure you have set the epg to download when the box is on.

Is it the rytec epg you are using, try the "DreamEliteBH-133dv3PHOENIX sim201-SSL76c-de-dm800-20092010.nfi" image see if that works ok plus the addon panel works in that

Is it random when the epg goes, does a reboot sort it or do you have to redownload it
the only things i can suggest is maybe try re flashing it and use the other usb slot and a different memory stick.

is randon,normally after coming fron standby,used hdd before this and done it on that,think ill swap usb slots

I'm running the same image with rytec, I save mine to usb, and refresh every night. I thought I read somewhere that the problem was with the server. If it persists I might try another.

when i swapped to the other usb it crashed downloading it

I know it only takes a minute to d/l it again but it is a bit annoying. But I haven't had a problem with the usb at all.

Mine was exactly same when I used that immage. I also had the pican files on USB stick and sometimes it worked and some times not. I changed to DE 1.0 with 76D and its fine now. now I cant get permanent clock to work

When refreshing epg manually I've noticed if you do it whilst on a fta channel (normally use bbc1) it never crashes, but almost always does on a premium one, I'm using blackhole v0.12.
