noticeable channels missing are FTA channels: BBC 1, 2 3 - ITV3 also sly sports 1 & sly sports news.

How if possible can I update the channels in one hit?

Just done a autoscan and only 634 services found, ouch !

I would update the sat.xml file as with the recent changes you could be missing transponder information:
