dream up problems!! please help

Hi Guys please help, i am trying to get The digital kaos v1.1 image onto my dm500s clone!! it is brand new out of the box and i have bought a usb to serial adaptor and a null modem lead.
i have downloaded dream up and i get to where it says " dreambox connected pleasse switch it on"

i do so and....... nada!! which doesnt help me one bit

any advice on how to put this software on the box???

Have you installed the drivers for the usb to serial adaptor?

? try an older dreamup ,, this always works for me https://rapidshare.com/files/149494829/DreamUP.zip and u r power box off and on at the plug not the power button on the front ?

yep i'm using that version now, but still the same response! can i flash it any other way?

are you seeing a green light on the dm when you switch it on ?

yes ive got back left in the on position and im just flicking it on at the wall

Depends what images it has installed.

I'd suggest installing your image by uploading it via ftp and using telnet. There should be a guide on this forum.

ive done it all ftp i have put commando on it :-)
