Oh ye of little faith, not to mention patience...

In the /var/etc/info folder there are almost a DOZEN helpfiles I created from scratch, purely with the intention of sharing my knowledge, and helping peeps such as yourself. Collectively, they must have taken around a day or two of my life to compile.

They are all in Linux format, with carefully tested line lengths, so that you can comfortaby read them on your 50" Plasma simply by pressing BLUE > 1 (for Tuxbox Commander) and then navigate to the helpfile you want and press OK to read it.

Page Down is the right arrow key NOT used for volume. Alternatively, you can view these files via your FTP program. Now, why don't you have another try please? But make sure to backup your working CCcam binary and CCcam.cfg files from your existing image beforehand, as C14.7 is issued as FTA only, but does carry support for testing and educational purposes, as countenanced by EU Law.

You're talking about a 2 minute FTP job, following the instructions!!

          Cheers- AL

i'm administering a remote box and i need to make it run autobouquets following a change to local.scan. i have ftp'd a customised local.scan to the box.

after that bit, do i do this?

            BLUE > 2 "autobouquets now"

            and Reboot ?

Its a bit tricky because im using dbox yweb interface and telnet

BLUE > 2 only. The box reboots itself when AutoBouquets (and the following epg map autogen) have finished.

Which is why it's a good idea to set epg to auto-load at boot. You can also set the AutoBouquets plugin to run as a daily Timer, meaning that ALL this can be totally automated while the remote user is still fast asleep!

It's all explained in the readme docs... Cheers - AL

i downloaded and flashed this image and its really nice image and had everything i wanted except 1 which is sometimes i like to watch tv on my laptop through webxtv interface and i found out pli image works like a charm for that purpose as this commando image either kept hanging my box or it would play at all in vlc i hope this feature can b improved so i works same as pli

but yes thanks alot for your hard work :-)

I think it all depends on what version of VLC you're using, from what I've read. Not a feature I ever use, tbh...

But a new guy on our mothership seems to have found a way around this issue by using xbmc instead of VLC. I hope Devilfish will excuse me for posting an external link to the relevant thread on this rare occasion, sorry...

                  yweb control panel

                  Cheers - AL

I just want to acknowledge what a great job you & the rest of the team have done with Commando 14.7.. This image goes way beyond what anybody thought was possible on a DM500. I dont have a DM500 any more but I have a couple in my parents house & I was messing around updating Bouquets and updating the image through the online update.. I was taken aback by the automation built into Commando 14.7 and I think what you have managed to accomplish with the hardware limitations of the DM500 is nothing short of genius. Keep up the good work m8.. We all really appreciate it..
If it's working perfect, take it apart to see why!!
Dont be Shy. Remember to use the Thanks button.
It is just Good manners & it makes ppl feel Good

Just want to say a big thanks for this image. My dm500 has been sat around gathering dust for ages. Thought I'd check this out and wow its amazing for this box. Took me a bit of time to get into the 1st time doing it but is now set up and working great. Bouquets and EPG amazing. Thanks for the team who worked behind this image

                          Hey,

I have everything working properly but I'm missing Primetime. Wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.

                          Thanks!

                            Hi paphos

I have a bit of s problem. installed the image and its been working brilliantly for the past few weeks, about nearly 2 months. suddenly in the past couple of days the box suddenly just stopped and is stuck on the start up screen ie the halo soldiers screenshot. I can go on the menu favs but it looks like I have lost all my transponders as on every channel it doesn't have any frequency details. any ideas?

                              cableing/lnb or power supply fault

it can't be because I've tried it at two different households and the same issue still remains. I have even done a reflash of the image as well but that's not made a difference. all transponder details are missing. tried to also remove the satellite XML file and put an updated one but not made difference. does the image have a transponder file?
