Commando 14.7 DM500 Release

this image is great, but i must admit when i first had a go, wasnt too keen.
i have managed to sort everything out, epg, that thing we cant talk about!!! updates etc.
the only thing i have not managed to sort, is auto bouquets timer, i want it to come on early morning when i know no-one is watching,
but i just cant seem to sort it, aplogies if its been covered hundreds of times.
i have run it, and it loads the ones that i want, and then i do the epg after.
is it meant to show up as a plugin?

The timer did work prior to the last update..

I too am now having problems.. the timer is set correctly as i said it worked.. i did the update.. and now its stopped..

And some other features like getepg and autob dont work properly now..

Im just trying new updates again now.. its saying there is updates but does nothing!!! im clicking on anything in the menu.. and its not doing anything.. its allowing me to change channel and thats it!

Are you using the proper remote or the virtual yWeb remote on your smartphone? As the virtual remote CANNOT work inside the shell menu!

Can you go MENU > 1 > YELLOW and report what date you have on your image please? It should read 19.07.2013

The only thing broken on the previous 16.07.2013 update was the EPG NOW plugin on BLUE > 4 (which is now fixed and back as no. 3)

The AutoBouquets plugin is above that and is working fine!

Hi, I've had to totally reflash using com lead.. The menu was totally unusable.. Not a single menu item worked!

It's working now!!

For he record it's a genuine remote and box..!

Hello. I used the autoupdate option the image was udated to 19/07/13 image.untill now the image was working great untill i used the latest update.
i also noted the utilites option had gone when updated.
after rebooting box the box has froze on the commando 14.7 screen.
has anyone else had any issues with the latest image?

Remember that the initial hiccup with online-updating the original 27 Jan 2013 release C14.7 image is now a thing of the past. It will take the latest 19 July update no problem.

But if you have a more recent backup (that was running stable and where AutoBouquets was used) then it's best to reflash with that, via the Services menu.

You'll then spend far less time in AutoBouquets when this is next run, when it reaches the final GetEPG automapping phase!

Great image made useless because of the lip sync. I really hope its fixed soon, back to pli jade for me

I followed the setting up recording to a mounted drive but when i press record button i get an error message saying this is not a writable directory,anyone know what im doing wrong

I have it on very good authority from a guy running a few dm500 boxes on PLi Jade that lip-sync is a problem on that image and all E1 images he's tried.

Agreed, if you have FastZap set to the new default ON, then lip-sync issues do seem to appear after an hour or two on the same channel. But it only needs a quick channel Up/Down to get Audio and Visual back into perfect synconization again.

With FastZap off, lip-sync is bad straight away...

So I think your labelling C14.7 as "useless" because of such a trivial annoyance is a bit harsh, m8!

Check the Network Settings > Edit mount shares > Mount Options lines just read as follows:

rw,soft
rsize=8192,wsize=8192

and SAVE settings on the way back out, then restart neutrino or reboot. You prrobably have the first line as the (idiotic) ro - meaning Read-Only, rather than rw (Read and Write)

Id still rather lose the extra features, than have to put up with lip sync issue. And so would everyone watching it .I dont actually watch tv, its everyone moaning at me that forced to to go back.

i never have lip sync probs its down to the type of clone box
ive seen it bad on some box,s with pli.

Its nothing to do with clone.. because i have a genuine 500 box.. if you have a clone then
