The satellites.xml file posted by CG works for me. I'm delighted - none of the other xml files did

I have loaded the satellite.xml file turned off auto get epg. rebooted box then ran auto bouquets but its only giving me a handful of channels no bouqets lists etc

We've just edited post #1 in this thread with a brand new C14.7 image based on our 21st October newbuild for yesterday's root update.

Everything is bang up to date as of lunchtime today, 23rd October! That means GetEPG and RT-EPG channel maps, and current services and bouquets. FTA and child-friendly, naturally.

GetEPG with 'radio times' +1 channel sorting is default, as is Ronan's "Sky HD" GUI theme

With respect, m8, the logfile you posted on the ukcvs mothership today suggests that your box isn't on C14.7 yet, but is still on last year's C14.6 image, FCS! Please verify...

Yes! Assuming you've online updated to the latest 22 Oct release?

BLUE > BLUE > YELLOW > RED >1 which will set your location to ROI

Then run AutoBouquets BLUE > BLUE > 2 to nail your changes into place

Hi.

I don't do many posts as, usually, I can answers by simply reading but just like to say thanks to all for this great image.

I've updated to the 23/10 version, and tried to do a recording to my mounted hdd (which just happens to be attached to a raspberry pi). The recording seems to have gone ok but playback is a problem.

I am experiencing very very short spells of freezing and blocking.

I do not know if this is connected to the fastzap=on setting but try as i might, i just can't find that setting to check.

I'm rather hoping that this is now a default setting in the latest image which, if it is, means I may have a bigger problem.

Also, my better half keeps asking about getting the sly channel numbers but if memory serves me right now that sergeant has stopped there is no-one working on this anymore.

Any help ..much appreciated.

I tested a 2 hour duration movie with fastzap set to the default ON and TS Playback was spot on throughout. No lip-sync issues either, and certainly no freezing and/or blocking. I guess your issue might be weak signal or possibly an iffy provider who is working his card too hard?

The actual TS Recording process cannot resolve such issues, which you would still have experienced had you watched it live.

Thanks for the response.

I know it's not a weak signal cos i had a new lnb fitted and the dish realigned about 3 weeks ago.

I using a dm800hd pvr which 'feeds' the dm500 so i don't think it's a card issue.

Seems like a raspberry pi/usb ext hdd problem so will work on that shortly.

My wife is still going on about having the sly numbering system on the dm500 but i don't think she believes me when i say it's not possible due to space problems. Is this still correct or is it possible to 'move' some processes off the dm500 to, say, an ext hdd and use the space for the processes for the sly numbering system.
