Commando 14.7 DM500 Release

I'm trying to add box office events manually, Can somebody please post the full frequency, I tried several I found on Google, Just receive a failed message.

I added an updated 23rd October 2013 C14.7 image to post #1 in this thread, and it has the SBO bouquet with 15 SBO channels in it. Your C14.7 should have this kit too, so I can't see why you're trying to do this manually?

Unless you've told AutoBouquets to to Hide+Lock this bouquet?

... My wife is still going on about having the sly numbering system on the dm500 but i don't think she believes me when i say it's not possible due to space problems. Is this still correct or is it possible to 'move' some processes off the dm500 to, say, an ext hdd and use the space for the processes for the sly numbering system.

It's not a space issue, but down to the way neutrino and zapit handle the channel numbering sequence. I might have found a way of doing this, though, but it'll take a few days.

Be patient and tell wifey to keep her fingers crossed...

Sky Box Office EVENTS - ahh, these are a different kettle of fish to the ones in the SBO bouquet. I think you'll find four of the type you're looking for in the Pay Per View bouquet, which is Hidden+Locked by default.

Check it out temporarily in Bouquet Editor. Highlight the PPV bucket, press 'Menu' to toggle the "Rename" caption at the bottom to "Hide" and press BLUE. Press 'Menu' again to toggle "Hide" to "Lock" and press BLUE. Both the icons by the PPV bucket should now be gone. Save on exit and see what you get.

To make this change AutoBouquets-proof, you'll need to set PPV to "Show" in the AutoBouquets Wizard > Bouquet Selections. But if there are kiddies in the house, be aware that PPV also contains pr0n channels. If you want AutoBouquets to remove these from the PPV bouquet, just append these lines to your local.scan customizing file, using Notepad++ and Copy 'n Paste:

delete "1" "XXXFirst Timers"
delete "1" "Playboy Lovers"
delete "1" "XXX Mums"
delete "1" "UK *******s"
delete "1" "Viewers' Wives"
delete "1" "Xplicit Nightly"
delete "1" "XXX Gay"
delete "1" "Blue Tube"

and then run AutoBouquets (in Fast Mode if your box is online and you did the 23rd October online update or flashed the 23/10 update release C14.7 image)

Thanks, Al. Sorry, didn't mean to cause you a problem. Having been in IT for many a year (but, thankfully, well out of it now), I just felt that there must be a way but lack of knowledge and lackof guides as to how all the various files etc, hang together just make it difficult for noobs to understand/help to develop this great image.

hopefully B.O.Events will be added in the next update 4 us dummies as tryed to do it through a scan and add it in myself but with no sucsess after 5 hours of trying same goes 4 primetime aswell

We're trying to sort SBO as a matter of urgency before the next update. The key lies in /var/tuxbox/config/zapit/myservices.xml and the fact that this file has not been looked at for almost a year, sorry...

But I'm struggling with this one, and will probably need LraiZer's help for a fix. Be patient...

Yes problem located in myservices.xml, I edited the Box Office Events line...

Okay, here's an emergency myservices.xml that 'should' at least give you access to "SBO Previews" and "SBO Events" (thanks to LraiZer an jim moore over on UkCvs for their help)

Overwrite existing in the /var/tuxbox/config/zapit folder. No need to reboot, just go MENU > Services > Reload Channel Lists and then run AutoBouquets.

I have a fuller version where 36 SBO channels exist in total. But 95% of them are black screen and no sound, with NO 'channel not found' error popup. Yet the infobar gives start time, elapsed time, and remaining time for most of them, but no epg nor title...

Methinks these are maybe all HD services now?

Finally installed this image on my DM 500s ( clone )..In my opinion this is the best image for the DM 500s.. Works like a charm. Thank you .

The Icing on the Cake

GetEPG Autogen no longer just logs any unmapped channels it finds. It now automatically calls GetEPG AddNew to zap to that channel and scan for it's EPG ID with dvbsnoop. It can tell the differerence between a new channel and one that's been renamed, and edits the user mapfile accordingly, on the fly!

If it's a renamed channel, it edits the existing line. For a new channel, it appends a new data line to the end of the correct bouquet section. Plus it's all reported in detail in a logfile in the /var/log folder, and a summary at the end of the usermap. See the docs for full details.

UPDATE: Wednesday 23rd October 2013 - based on our newbuild of 21st October for the latest online root update, we thought we might as well add a fully updated image.

This is FTA and child-friendly, with today's services and bouquets for the London area. Of course, at startup, you'll be prompted to go to the Set My Location menu to tell C14.7 where you are in the UK or ROI. (after which, run AutoBouquets to apply those settings). Users in London (or not on 28.2E) can ignore that bit, and you won't get nagged by SML after subsequent reboots.

The latest maps for GetEPG and RT-EPG have been done as well, and Ronan's "Sky HD" is set as the default GUI theme. Please backup any vital stuff from your existing image before flashing this one!

Thanks! Well we hope you flashed the most recent 23 Oct 2013 update version of C14.7 that's floating around on here, rather than the original Jan 2013 release?

Not that it makes a lot of difference between the two, when you go for online updates, except for datestamps on many of the unchanged files, LOL!

Just thought I'd say thanks for a great package that commando 14.7 is.

Just checked on my DM500 for the new channel, Lifetime, and sure enough, there it is .. excellent .. unlike the Black Hole image/Crossepg I use on my DM800 .. still showing Bio.

Looking forward to a Commando equivalent for my DM800.
