    dm500s to pc streaming

    hi all ive got a dm500s with commando 14.6 image on it and was wondering is it possible to stream from box to pc or do you need to use a diffrent image ive had a look a round the forums but cant find anything thanks

    try this and i found this by accident.

    streaming from DM500 using C14.6 to PC is easy, just install Mozilla firefox web browser and an older compatible version of VLC and then type your box ip address into firefox to acccess the box's yWeb interface. you will need to use an older version of vlc for streaming as newer versions of vlc are not fully compatible. install the old version of VLC 0.8.6x from oldapps (dont forget to tick mozilla plugin during install) download older 0.8.6x vlc

    if you dont want to use firefox and just want to stream directly to vlc without using the yWeb interface, just enter your box ip into your default web brower and use the /control/build_live_url command

    eg.######://192.168.2.19/control/build_live_url
    this will produce a live## url ####//192.168.2.19:31339/0,0x0103,0x0921,0x0922
    just copy and paste the generated live url directly into the open http network stream option in your vlc player

    replace # with http

      thanks got channels working but no sound on most mainly just on fta have you got any suggestions how to sort this
