Page 1 first post tells you everything you need to know for upgrading image , or - have your box powered off from switch on the back or the wall, hold the button on the front of the dreambox then power on from the wall or the switch on the back of the dreambox, your tv screen should then show your box details and ip , type your dreambox ip into your browser and it will bring up the dreambox upgrade/flashing screen, download a suitable image for your model of box (clone or non clone) to your pc/laptop , browse from dreambox upgrade screen to the image you downloaded - double check that the image is suitable for your box before pressing the flash button, reboot after successful flash and your box should have a nice new image .

Hey, I've got a problem with my dm500hd. I was flashing new image and it flashed bad. Now my dreambox can't go to the flash state (pressing power button on the start). When I normal power on my dreambox I see only start page of new image and device doesn't boot at all. I can't connect to it by network because it doesn't have any ip addres without booting. Windows doesn't find a driver when I try to connect by usb. How I can reflash it? I have original, non clone dm.

well got the same problem here, upload complet, waiting for acknowledge.....

Nothing more is happening, and yes I have tryid using the webinterface, but there is no big greens screen on the tv.

All help would be nice

I'll hope this works on my friends "compatible" Dreambox 500HD - thanks in advanced
It didn't work - I connected through COM4 - turned on the 500HD (compatible) - and a Flashload was transferred to the box - but ... then the system just hang, saying: waiting for acknowledgement - and absolutely nothing happened. Has anybody an idea how to completely reset the box?

What image to use?

Hi again, one more question, what image is best to use on a DM500HD clone bootloader 83 sims 2.1.

Was using the Peter Pan but could not get the USB working. So I put on the Dream Elite can't relay tell the number, but the size of the file is 44395.

Hi. I have a Dream 500hd clone and updated the ssl and image via webupdate. This seemed to work out well, but when I turn on the box I get no picture.

I tried to connect to it again but the box doesn't get an ip. So I tried via usb-cable and Windows 7 doesn't recognize the box. It won't accept the drivers I have downloaded (ipk-file) and I am stuck.

Help anyone?
