Internet connection through a laptop

I have my DB7025 connected to my laptop with an ethernet crossover cable, both devices can communicate with each other.

I have a USB 3G dongle in my laptop for connection to the internet, bit slow but it does work.

I have Gemini on the Dreambox and I would like to download some of the Gemini "add ons" directly to the Dreambox.

Will the Dreambox be able to connect to the internet through the laptop and the 3G dongle or can it only connect through a router?
