    What is the best image for DM7020HD ( NOT CLONE) out there ?

      I'm using Dream elite 3 just upgraded from 2.1 having no problems yet. Have not tried any others

          I am using the latest Merlin ICVS image with the GP3 Gemini plugin and am pleased with it.

          This image seems stable and has a nice skin. However, I had to manually apply various patches from IHAD in order to get CrossEPG download functioning properly for EPG downloads for Astra28.2E and Hotbird 13E.

          I don't think the image makes too much difference to be honest. Merlin is a clean image based on the latest drivers from Dream. When you add plugins like CoolTV and EnhancedMovieCentre you get nice EPG options and a superior video player and the comfort that your receiver is using up to date software.

          I have tried Dream-Elite previously and there were no such issues with the EPG.

          I used OpenPLI as well and this is a fast clean image but being cross platform does not offer any direct benefit on a Dreambox.

          The Nemesis image is also meant to be superb and is one to consider. Nemesis is meant to have all the relevant CrossEPG patches pre installed making it easier to get started.
