    WHITE Sky Card?

    Hi All, does anyone know about the card reader modification you can do on the 7020 I think it concerns a resistor swap? so the White sky cards dont burn out....they run at a lower voltage?

    if you use your card with newcs you can lower the voltage by going into var/tuxbox/config/newcs.xml
    then you will see a script like this in edit mode chane the <mhz>358</mhz> to alter the voltage

    <readers name="Dreambox SCI">
    <globals>
    <listening-ip>127.0.0.1</listening-ip>
    </globals>
    <device>
    <name>SCI Lower Slot</name>
    <type>sci</type>
    <mhz>358</mhz>
    <node>/dev/sci0</node>
    <parity>None</parity>
    <reset>normal</reset>
    <export>Yes</export>
    <enabled>Yes</enabled>
    <blocksa>No</blocksa>
    <blockua>No</blockua>
    <blockga>No</blockga>
    <blockC0>Yes</blockC0>
    <carddetect>Yes</carddetect>
    <newcamd_port>15000</newcamd_port>
    <autosid>Yes</autosid>
    <pincode>0000</pincode>
    <priority>Hard</priority>

        yes you will be able to change the voltage buy doing this but there is a bit more to do to get the card to work there is a thread on here about it
