complete novice with a db7000,tried reading the manual and i am more confused than ever,i have this box about three years and i have only been using it via various cams/cards,my problem is where to start using this box as i am having trouble with a lot of terms.example var etc.i cannot even dreamup to work all i get is cannot find comport/aborting.i am using a dell vostro laptop with windows7 and as far as i know i have all the correct cables.any help really appreciated.

use a null modem cable for dreamup make sure you select the right com port to flash,plenty of research needed for dm as there complicated as i have found out.
