Anyone know if it's best to flash the dreambox 7000 via serial port or ethernet?

I've always used the web version on the network to flash my DM7025, much easier and built for that purpose by dream and never failed for me. I've never tried via serial port.My master plan is to live forever..... going to plan so far
Despite the cost of living, it's still very popular.
