    dreambox 800 hd pvr home plugs

    hi everyone im new here so thought id say hello first ,heres my problem i purchased some tp-link home plugs.the problem is,did a network work test top three went green all good,lan adapter,local network,dhcp all good.then the ip address came up with a red cross and so did the nameserver.anyone had this problem cos its driving me mad.is there something blocking them or am i being a donk? i know im missing something silly here but very new to this.running enigma 2 if thats of any help doubt it though .also dcc isnt picking it up either.if i plug it straight into the router works fine.if you can help thank you.

    If you restart ur box after u set the plugs up it will work then.
    It will find ur ip after a restart

      cheers for your reply,did what you suggested but no luck :-( also did a network scan again but with the same results.any other ideas?as im stuck.

        Have you ur home plugs pluged into the wall and not a ex lead?
        You can all so try a full restart pull the power lead out wait 30 sec and boot it up

          thanks ill give it a try.i know this may sound silly but my router has a password would this stop them??

            No it should still find it. Once u scan for wireless networks and pick urs go into it and put in ur password

                  cheers for that,i dont seem to have that option on this dreambox going to have a look at the other see if it has that option ty ill let you know how i get on.

                      l remember a thread like this last year and the guy spent weeks trying to get home plug to work ,, in the end we found out he only bought 1 plug

                        hi yes i have two plugs one upstairs one down stairs one connected to router the other connected to dreambox via ethernet,have pressed the pair button.must have faulty home plugs i think because the powerline led isnt lighting up now.does for a bit then goes off.stays on for about 5secs,do you think there faulty??

                            yeah i tried them both next to each other and in two other sockets i think there shot.they dont connect and the powerline light still isnt coming on thnx again jok.

                              got it sorted now the home plugs were defective just took them back got new one bosh jobs a good un,thnx 4 all your help much appreciated.
