nothing happening

hi guys, i just transferred a sky bouquet to my dm800pro and now the tv just has a no signal box bouncing around. i just got the dm today and havent used one before. Do i need to do a scan before i add the bouquet?? Does anyone know why the dm wont turn on?

looks great the new dreamboxedit....how do you get the picons in the channel bar in dreamboxedit?

Choose size (70x53) works well

Then choose the Picon folder directory

Lads I'm giving it a go to see if I can update bouquet, a few questions I have, I got laptop on ready, I got ip address from network settings from dm800 there was 2 address I've got those, were do I go from ere, sound dumb I no, but im just learning... Do I open or download on laptop dreamboxedit or somethin ? And If I try this I can't mess my box up can I ? Cos I'm not sure what I'm doing ere... Guys help in the right direction would be appreciated

have you downloaded dbe onto your laptop??
if you have then there should be an icon on your desktop
click the icon and open dbe.
now read the first post by sgt flip flop slowly and carefully
DON'T press the "send files to dreambox" until you are familiar with dbe
in this way you will not "mess your box up "
just get used to dbe
when you are sure you understand it then uploading channel lists and picons will come easy for you
you need time and a lot of patience but you will get there
(its easy when you know how) take your time

Dreamboxedit, I looked earlier couldn't see a download anywere I will try again wen I'm home
Thx bud hopefully I get there, cos this guy wants ?15 to come around & do it for me, not sure if I even need it doing : all channels are there only setanta is missing, and epg gets lost, will this bouquet upload sort this out ?

this is dbe download it to your laptop it is the same as the one shown by sgt flip flop.

the channel lists only really require updating if you can't receive them such when they change freq.

with regards to setanta you need to ask the ( supplier)
not spoken about on here m8

many people have problems with epg atm i download rytec sky-uk manually and it is working today

?15 for uploading a channel list
all the help is given on this forum
just need patience and not expect everything to be done without a bit of know how

You wont get anywhere like this mate.
Theres a simple guide out there,most make the simple mistake in not opening the bouquet and then trying to send them.
Worth a bit of effort and if you really cant do it im sure someone will talk you through it on msn.

Yes I did see open with explorer & a few I think winwar was there.

Newbie question, does the 500s need tho be connected to the computer whilst doing this? Or just plugged into the router?
