DM800 - Unable To Initialize Harddisk - New Image Required

    Hi Guys,

Trying to install an internal hard drive into my DM800 SE Clone and I get the error as shown in the picturephoto.JPG.

Having read through various threads online it seems I need a new image.

Can anyone recommend an up-to-date image that should fix the problem?

At the moment I have Dream Elite 1.33D V3, Sim 2.01, Phoenix Edition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    FL23

You cant just put it in and expect it to work. Try blue button/setting panel/devices manager and format and mount it there.

      Hi Andy,

I've tried that but if you try to format it there first you get the 'No Hard Drive Found' error.

Also, if you try to save the mountpoints at media/hdd, it will save the settings, then reboot the box and they have reset themselves, resulting in the same 'Unable to Initialise' error.

I have a USB caddy for the hard drive so I can format it on that first. What format do you suggest I set it to?

Almost sure I'm going to need a new image anyway

Ive actually not got a hdd installed but did you hit red to mount it as media/hdd then press red to save and red button again to reboot box? Andy

Try down loading easus partition manager : Thank you for downloading Easeus Partition Master Home Edition from CNET Download.com with this you can format to ext3 on your pc first then mount .
