Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I tried to install http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...o=file&id=3398 but it would not let me click flash or if I clicked flash it done nothing. It mentioned singapore but no idea if I have singapore or not.

Can you also advise about the ssl82 / 84 and which one I need to get as I have no idea when it comes to these.

      Thanks in advance.

This is a pic of my dm 800 hd se info:

You have Bootloader SSL79 so if you want to flash a newer image with a newer bootloader say 82a or 84d then normally the image will have the bootloader ready when being flashed on some occasions you may have to flash the bootloader separately first and then flash the image directly afterwards.

I always Flashed my 800/800SE's with the bootloader first then the corresponding image.

So basically i opened up a web browser flash the bootloader i wanted say 84d then without rebooting the receiver i opened a second web browser window and flashed the image and the did a reboot.

If your still having problems you may need to use a Null modem cable or if its the 800SE use the mini flashup port which is basically a micro usb slot

Hi thanks for helping mate, I have tried the following since you posted,

1\ sunray flashup and it connects to the device and puts it into http mode, then when I go into the flash part I have selected a couple of different files and then click flash. When I do this it does nothing regardless of the file / browser that I pick with correct extension. I think this is because I have an error message on the front pannel of rso1 ca no found which I got after going into one of the menus to update and since that point I have been goosed.

2\ I have since found that I can hold down the button at the back to put it into flash mode and then enter in ip address and browse for image. However it keeps saying wrong architecture. I am really lost here any chance you could link me to the files needed so I can have the latest image / boot loader as I am clearly doing something really stupid but just cant figure out what.

          Thanks in advance

I have managed to cure the problem partially I think, I have located the image named OpenPLi-4.0-dm800se-20151023-sim2-ssl84d.

I am struggling to find the dm 800 se boot loader (current one was 79 but am I right in thinking I now need 84d?) sim 201 and the other file you need to flash any advice much appreciated. and thank you very much for your help so far.

Thanks for reply, I just switched box off and then back on again and its stuck with a picture of the dm800 on the tv. On the box lcd it looks like it is trying to find a dhcp address and not getting one for some reason. I have left it for a few minutes and it is now got no display on lcd and flashing blue power button and its trying to find the signal. It has now booted up but I now need to change the transponder type from cable to sat any ideas how I do this?

              Thanks again for all help

I am not sure if it is cable or satellite, I clicked link from Digicon and took this image here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...o=file&id=3398 . I am not sure if that is a satellite or cable, can you tell what it is from this information?

Tried to click on the files mate but getting a error 404 looks like they have been removed. Is there any other more recent ones that you would recommend mate?

My original Link takes you directly to the Downloads page and not any particular image so that you could browse through the downloads and find the bootloader

but here it is instead, now just choose an appropriate image
