S*tanta issue

i have a dreambox 600 pvr and everytime i select any of the setanta channels it is just blank. i have tried deleting them and rescanning and its the same. i have rebooted. the only channel i can get is setanta news or sometimes i get the freeview before kick offs on matches. im in northern ireland. please help

what are your signal strength and other infos mate, or do others in your area also struggle with weak signal on those channels?

there was an artical on last weeks watchdog on bbc1 about setanta. basically its not on teh normal '$ky' satellite. (which i didnt know at all). your dish may need realigning or try the bigger dish (zone 1 or 2 could never remember which one the bigger one is).

Yeah, I saw that mate, was sorta interesting, but I dont think he was exactly complaining about Setanta, I could be very wrong but reading between the lines I actually thought he was after decrypting channels for FREE, if i'm wrong then I'm sorry, so I gave him advice based on that, or atleast started him in the right direction :-)

setanta is broadcasted at 28.5 e and not 28.2e...

i dont have that satellite 28.5e can some one please help me on how to tune it on my box please?

dont know if 28.5e is listed but the dish would need to go ever so slightly to the right as ur facing the dish. but could also be the skew on the LNB. could be a case of try and see wot works.

@MOLEY. yea i see what you mean. not sure as it could be a decryption problem then.

hes using a share.

are u sure the cline works? as in if you have the freeview period why wouldnt u have the paid service if u have a working share. maybe seek another cline or check the line itself.

yep i agree then.. if your getting it from a share and your getting the freeview but it goes blank on encryption.. then, that tells me your share hasnt a setanta sub..
