    DM500S + Sky Minidish

    I have the following set-up.

SKY Digibox, Dreambox 500s and a single SKY minidish i.e. 2 receivers and 1 dish.

I've got a manual switch to allow SKY Digibox or Dreambox 500s to 'connect' to the SKY minidish as/when required. Obviously, with this arrangement I can't use SKY digibox and Dreambox 500s simultaneously.

The SKY minidish has a single LNB (installed in 2003). I've read that dual LNB's were once available (sadly discontinued) so that 2 receivers could be attached to a SKY minidish at the same time.

Q: If I go for a quad LNB arrangement will I be able to run once cable to the SKY digibox as per the current arrangement and run the other cable the Dreambox 500s and therefore be able to use the SKY Digibox and Dreambox 500s at the SAME time on the single dish?

Any pointers would be helpful. Thanks!

    Regards, BB.

yes m8, get yourself a quad lnb and run a second feed and you will have 2 independant recievers. you can pick a quad lnb up for about ?6 on *bay and if your dish is a bit tatty a new dish/lnb/cable/clips for about ?20. ifyou change your lnb only be carefull not to nudge your dish as it will need re-aligning. regards mdt
