is it normal for my dm500 to freeze and hang alot when flicking channels im have to unplug and plug it back in at least twice a day?

no does not sound right mate have you tried reflashing it?

Try replacing the psu for a bit. A old modem or router will most likely work.

i flashed it with about 5 diff images when i first got it but it always acting up but i picked it up 2nd hand so might be pretty old maybe

yh ok il try that mate but i didnt think that would make it freeze like a computer but just not power up?

could be on to something there with the PSU. If you have flashed it 5 times then thats the image out of the question

ok il try and find if i have any old psu to try with it. it reminds of a old computer with too many progs. sometimes i press tv button i can take a load of seconds to bring up channel list maybe work really slow or crash then other times it works ok

nice thinking the man because I remember with my 500s once I installed picons and had the EPG and so on i was up at something like 95% on my var and it just couldnt handle it needed to do away with the picons.

do i just got into dcc and look into the var folder to check this?

i just have the default skin i went to addon unistall panel and i just have cccam

is nablocccaminfo a pluggin?

you should be able to check on the 500s itself mate within menu if its pli it will be displayed at the bottom of the window. maybe, menu then setup. not to sure anymore but i know its in there somewere.

ok i went into download cams and then the next screen says im using var used 80% is that 2 much mate im using nabliosat darkstar 2 image?

you should be ok at 80%. Do you not find a Pli image better for the 500s so that you can get a EPG?

the pli and pli lite didnt work good for me. i was just gettin now and next but with this 1 i get a bit more on a couple of networks but just now and next for most sats and 28.2

odd when i used the 500s i used Pli images and could get 3 day EPG. That was only for Sky UK not in to other sats yet. Once I move house will be a different story
