DM500s network connection issue

Hi,

I have a strange problem. My dreambox 500s is unable to connect with the LAN (gives me network setup is not ok when I test it through the communication menu) while I can access it through DCC, Flashwizard and web interface?
Network and DHCP are both selected, any clue?

Untick Dhcp and use a static ip address, With Dhcp enabled it sometimes clashes with other wifi things in the home like laptops,ipods etc.

Unticked the DHCP, typed another IP, netmask is 255.255.255.0 and the gateway and the nameserver are both 192.168.1.1, still nothing

BTW, is it enough to type another IP address or do I've to configure the router?

The Nameserver and the Gateway should be the same Ip address these share the same as the router,
If your router ip is 192.168.1.1 make the ip of the Dm500 something like 192.168.1.100 so it doesnt clash with anything else in the house.
Netmask is ok.
Take it you have ethernet from router to Dm?

No I'm connecting the box through a switch & changed the IP
Still I'm able to login through the web interface only but the box isn't connected to the Internet (i.e. the cccam server is offline & the network connection isn't ok), any clue?

Tried that as well. nothing works.
Strange to see the box is able to download plugins from the server, get the time from the internet, connects with Flash wizard & DCC but the communication isn't OK (i.e. IP & netmask buttons are red while testing)

Hi ,same with me you have the prob,my box was working fine but some day I have same prob ,other box dm 800se is ok ,I don't know what happen cannot communication with cccam ,I can flash I can download addons ,but when I test network communication ,they said network is not letup ok ,any body know how to fix this prob ,

Had the same issue with my previous flash Gemini 4.7, I've tried almost every possible solution but Network Communication Setup kept coming back with not ok. That's when Andy advised me to try PLi Jade image, since then everything works flawlessly with minimum setup.

Hi there, I sorted the problem ,I just flash backup image nabilo image and everything all right and very nice image have been modify ,really nice ,

if you box is not satellite version go to the cable section.

yes same problem with me it drove me nuts i went with another non gemini image . every gemini image i tried it done the same thing not connected or 2 green light not the 4.??
yours puzzled?

I have the same problem however I have no way of flashing my dreambox since when I try to flash it with dreamup it say connection prepared, now switch on the dreambox.

Can anybody help me? I have had this problem for days and have not found any solution anywhere.
