Dream Up Help Needed (Cant Flash PLi Jade Image)

Dear All,

I am really new to DB and did allot of reading how to flash image to DB500s. However when I tried flashing Pli Jade image the dreamup doesnt recognize the .NFI format. It only give sme 2 option when I browse to get the image and those are either .bin or .image.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Thanks for ur quick reply mate. but the problem is dreamup is not recognizing .nfi file format so when i browse to te folder to find the image file to flash i dont see anything.

DM500s images dont use .nfi extension, they're .img files. Sounds like you've downloaded the wrong image.

.nfi images are for dm600,500HD,800 and 8000 etc

Hi Dave,

Yes you are right I have figured that out last nite after hours of reading and surfing :-(. However it was a good learning experience.

Anyways now i have successfully flashed gemini 4.7 image. But when I go to blue panel and click on ADDONs and try to access CAM folder there is nothing there. I mean no CCAM file or cam.config file.

Could you please kindly advise me what do i need to do to install the ccam software on gemini 4.7 image.

Which image is the best to flash my DM500s to? I've read lots of stuff and can't see which one to use...

r1 lad try pli a image ,look in the download section click on downloads at the top of the screen .

kami you cant install cams such as cccam with the gemini image ,you could change the addons url in the dreambox but as a newbie you may find that a bit hard . have a look here

if you think that would be difficult for you just change the image to another image such as pli ,look in the downloads section (click on downloads at the top of the page ) .
