    3G broadband connection

I was hoping to take my DM500 box to Spain each time I go out there. I do not have a broadband connection but rather a laptop with a usb dongle giving 3G at approx. 7mb. The network supplier charges ?1 a day for a maximum 100mb download each day before blocking the service. Using this method, would the cline connection take a constant data stream which would quickly eat up this allowance or is the downloaded data in small packets every so often? Also, how can I connect the DM to this setup as I won't have a hard wired router to connect to?
Broadband in Spain is expensive and iffey and, as we are only there approx. 6 weeks a year, cannot justify paying for broadband yearly at ?40+ a month.

100mb per day will be more than enough. I currently use a 3 dongle with a 3gb 90 day allowance and i never go over my allowance.

buy a 3g router though, get them for about ?30-?40 online, far handier than having to use ur laptop

Good idea. I never knew there was such a beast. Is there any problem with a (UK) cline being accessed in Spain?

as long as you have a dish at the required size, ur c;line will work anywhere in the world.

using 3g does not use up a lot of bandwidth but at times ecm times can be a bit high and can lose connection a fair bit
