Dreambox 500s Usuals Settings-Dreamup

I have just received my new Dreambox 500s receiver, Could anyone tell me

how to set up the usuals for satellite rotor as i cannot see it listed in the

set up configuration, Also is it really necessary to download the Dreamup

software as i only need the receiver to view the normal satellite channels.

You need to post in the correct section. The usals are normally found by doing menu > setup > rotor/motor setup and you need to tick the box and than type in your lat/long in the boxes provided. Dreamup is the software used for flashing the firmware on to the dreambox so not quite sure what you are trying to ask here about your box.

I have looked at all these pages in Dreambox for Newbies but i still cannot

see how to configure my lnb in usuals on the 500s , If you can give me further

help that would be great.

Make sure your positioner is on usals and not diseqc..

Do what..be specific... If you need to know how to turn it on press the on button..

Not having a go at you m8 and all of us were in your situation at some point but just curious as to why anyone would go out and a get dreambox as buying a dreambox is like buying a car without ever learning to drive.
