    Not booting..

Hey guys, I think I might have flashed a wrong image this morning when I was half asleep, now my clone wont boot. The dream logo comes up, red light for a few seconds but then nothing. It wont even respond to the old pressing the button while powering up either. It connects to dreamup, but when I put the power in it wont recognise it or do anything..

    Any ideas?

You should be able to recover. Most cases of wrong image flashed result in the 'NO CA ERROR'. Try a few more reboots and if you get nothing try the following.

    1) Connect your DM800 via Null Modem Cable to PC and attach Ethernet Wire. Keep it powered OFF.
    2) Load the patch DreamUP version in the file attached.
    3) Make sure 'Use Network' is ticked and changed the remote box IP to '192.168.1.10' (Dreambox defaults to this IP)
    4) Click 'Connect'
    5) Power ON the Dreambox.
    6) Flashloader should be uploaded and an IP address displayed on the Dreambox display.
    7) Type this address into your webbrowser.
    8) Follow the instructions to flash a new image.

Hopefully that should work. Give it a go and report back.

Cheers mate, have give in for the night now.. but will give this a go tomoz.

Ive recovered from the NO CA ERROR a few times with no probs, but this has me stumped as it wont even get to the STOP menu or anything, would take the NO CA ERROR over this everyday of the week!

Ive been trying different methods with DreamUp and its going fine untill I plug the power in, and it goes no further, the 800 comes on, goes to the Dream Multimedia logo and thats it, just sits there.. looks like it will end up in the bin

Damnit, now this is another method and I dont think I will sleep unless I give it ago now.. damn you for helping me..

Argh, gave it a go mate and still exactly the same - dreamup does nothing when I connect the power, just sits there laughing at me..

If you keep at it you'll get it. I recovered from the 'stuck at dream logo' error recently. Use the version of dreamup included in that pack and make sure your Ethernet cable is connected. I reckon your problem is wrong IP in the 'remote IP' field. I had the very same issues and it drove me wild. If 192.168.1.10 doesn't work, try the last IP address that worked with your box. That solved it for me.

          hi guys

here it goes hope some one can help me.
i have a dm800 clone. was running 76 boot loades, sim 2.01 rev m tuner newnigma 3.2.2 was all working well but had no epg. so i saw on the site cross epg. i loaded it on and my friend told me you had to open it up and add a line in the file for it to work. so he did that as it said in the instructions on this site. took out power on re boot it froze half way. so he removed the line in the file and re booted, froze again. so im left with a box that wont boot up. so he tryed to re flash my box. when flashing it comes up with
INVALID IMAGE (OR OLD VERSION) it dose not matter what image he trys to flash on my box as have tryed a few. he has tryed to flash with internet also by cable.
if any one can help that would be good.
          thanks for reading
