    dm500s stuck in boot loop

    hi ive got a dm500s stuck in boot loop and i have tryed to reflash with dreamup but i get to the point where it says power on dreambox i do that and it jst stays at the same place any help would be great thanks calhib

    try using patched version of dreamup by forhike you should findit in the download section. http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...stage_pack.rar

              tryed all versions of dreamup still not geting past "connection made turn on dreambox" any other sugestions b4 i go to a openbox s9

                You saying it doesnt recognise the dreambox?

                It should tell you the model. Is the green light on the front of it?

                        flash with original dream image, then reflash with your chosen image, that will fix your issues.

                          i'm also having problems with dreamup, its definitly not a null modem problem as i've tried it on a proper pc with serial port and it works fine.

                          but i only have a laptop so i use a usb to serial, the laptop recognises it, drivers successfully installed, but dreamup wont make the connection.

                          i've used as many versions of dreamup as possible but still no joy.

                          Anybody have any idea what else i could try?

                            After buying a openbox s9 i have now realised ive got a com port on my pc and have now mnaged to flash a new image it is fine thanks calhib
