Ok, thanks for your prompt answer mark8393. Fed up of the old KV and trying to get into the world of Satalite. Dont want to spend too much money though, as to be honest its all very confusing and im not getting very far with it. Every site i go on and ask questions i dont seem to get the right replys,. Any pointers would be much appreciated, thanks again.

i know what you mean. when i first started, it was hard work, spent easter last year till i sussed it.

how far are you with box?
are you going motorised?

your doing the right thing moving away from kv and sv, you wont look back, 500s are easy to setup, if you just want standard sly, then its easy with mini dish

So far ive got a dreambox 500s and get my new dish tomorrow. Ive got a few web sites on my favs list and some software that ive downloaded. I just have to work all the ccam,cline and other things out now. The thing is, im not a stupid man, but the more i read, the more it confuses me. My KV was completely effortless ( im lazy ), and i think it spoilt me, i should of gone SAT along time ago.Any pointers feel free to pm me, many many thanks.

ok, what you after, just sly. if so pretty easy. what image are you looking at loading, i started with gemini 4.2, to be honest it works so thats what i use so why change. cccam 2.2.1 is what i use, just stick in tmp file and do manual install, using blue button on gemini, then addons and manual install.

cline just goes in var/etc.

sounds a lot, but easy
